It is known that there are many ancient temples in the Cholamandalam region of Tamil Nadu. One such temple is the Sree Kathayee Amman Temple, located at Vettathankarai village, about 7 km East of Kollidam, in Nagai district, Tamil Nadu. This is a 400 year old temple and worshiped as family deity by the erstwhile and local villagers. But it is happy to see that this temple is managed by "Sree Kathayee Amman Trust" and they take care the performance of the daily prayers/rituals. The Sree Kathayee Amman Trust is in the need of renovation to the temple for the proposed Kumbabishekam held on 20/01/2016.
The Sree Kaathayee Amman Trust, founded and supported by the erstwhile natives of locals, along with support from the local villagers has taken up the task of renovating this ancient shrine.
Donations are solicited to complete the renovation work at the earliest and perform the kumbabishekam on January 20/01/2016, as scheduled.
